Product Testing
Cyclone Rated
One of the toughest tests of strength for a security system is the Cyclonic Missile Impact Test in accordance with Australian Standards AS1170 - 1989.
In this test a 4 kilogram piece of hardwood is aimed at the centre of the security screen and then launched reaching a speed of 15 metres per second or 54 kilometres per hour at the time of impact.
Not only did theĀ INVISI-GARD screen stop the timber missile in its tracks, there was no breakage of the mesh and only a minor deformation in the centre of the panel! This means the screen doesn't even require replacement and is ready for more punishment in the event of another cyclone.
INVISI-GARD Stainless Steel Security Doors and Screens combine the proven strength and security of 316 Marine Grade Stainless Steel Mesh with extruded aluminium perimeter framing that looks great and retains visibility whilst providing excellent security.
An additional benefit of installing INVISI-GARD Stainless Steel Security Doors and Screens is the corrosion resistant properties of the 316 Marine Grade Stainless Steel Mesh combined with the patented EGP Retention System. In an environment as harsh as a coastal cyclonic region where airborne salt mist is an ever present factor, lesser grades of stainless steel mesh or mechanically fixed systems will fall victim to corrosion and ultimately need costly replacement.
Imagine the possible uses for a product with this much protection.
No more cricket balls through windows as a result of the backyard "six". Golf balls, stones, tree branches and other flying objects simply bounce off INVISI-GARD. All of these additional benefits at no extra charge when you install INVISI-GARD Stainless Steel Security Doors and Screens.
